Not a clue~

OK, I actually still have no freakin' clue what I'm doing in my current run. All I know is that I'm finally getting Vega and McGrady to veer towards the Mystic Focus. Currently still stuck in Balance, but that's better than them going Combat. Maybe.

BR9, killed Validus in 18 turns.
BR9, killed the Ancient Dragon at 27 turns.
What the hell guys.

Did every sidequest from Part 1, and that netted me BR12 at the end of things. Would be lower if I hadn't bothered to fight a bunch of rares for their HP values. I think I killed about 12 of them? Would probably be BR10~11 if there were no extra encounters. Faced off against the Harpylia at BR12, but no BR increase. Went against the Gates of Hell at BR12, no increase. Beat Jager and Lob Omen at BR12, but still no increase...! The Cyclops didn't have 9999HP when it was summoned, but about ~2300HP. Quite a drop from what I had expected, and it actually died. And then Enthralled. Holy hell that scared me because it could quite possibly wipe out a bunch of my unions easily. Rush was just used to distract the Gates, not like he can die and be enthralled.

So now... It's off to the Six Bases. At BR12. I'm so gonna die. But first, skill training! Finally got a few units with Hexes. Hopefully I'll have an easier time...

Noting their original formations:
Seijuu, Seijuu, Trident, Undelwalt Cross, Seijuu

Yarikomi time?

I killed the Raptor without using マルチキャスト. What the hell. I sparked Devil's Due during the fight, so he hit it. Yeah.

Anyways, more important things. やりこみ NOTES. Basically, playing the game with a set of restrictions/rules.

No Unique Leaders -> Only Generic Leaders/Only the Athlum Army/mix of both.
Race specific runs: Only Mitra/Qsiti/Yama/(good luck finding generic Sovani and there are only 5 uniques)
National union: basically hiring only from a certain town.
No Fighting Arts/Mystic Arts/Item Arts.
Fighting Arts/Mystic Arts/Item Arts only.
Girls only.
Unique Girls only.
Soldier only.
Specific wield style only.
Minimum upgrades.
Emblem specific.
Mystic Seal only.
***The case with no FAs: You can spark them, but you can't use them afterwards.
***Item Arts only is hell. Already tried it, and you just can't deal enough damage without high level Shards against certain encounters. Unless... it probably has something to do with union construction. Still, too little damage in the alloted time.

EDIT: AHAHAHAHAHAAAA! I BEAT THE DOMINATOR AT BR2 WITH 2 UNIONS AND 6 PARTY MEMBERS. IT WAS FUN! And I don't think I want to do that ever again.

Moving on for now.

So, started up LasuRemu again. Excuse me while I hurt myself for even listening to Gabriel open his mouth to speak. He's extremely overdramatic, to the point where it sounds like he's chewing the scenery.

Restarted the file because I screwed up with progression, the fact that I'm nowhere near I want to be skill-wise, and because I kinda forgot exactly what I was doing with that file. Not touching the game for about a month would do that. There's also the fact that I don't understand why some of the generics aren't taking the Mystic Focus accessories even though I've modified the .exe. And then I'll put be putting it down for a while because there are other games to complete. It's still pretty early in the game, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem to pick right back up. And one final note below.

The Great Sand Sea: Cove: none (The Trade Route). Cauldron: Spiritlords, Terrapests.

Still haven't 100%'d NieR, don't think I will for a while. Instead, I'll be focusing on finishing up 3D Dot Game Heroes. Been through 5 out of 6 temples, so I think I'm nearing end-game. Getting the hang of tower defense type games, but that Dash Circuit mini-game is really pissing me off. Then again, so did that dragon.

Editing!

Well, time to get to work!

Plot analysis time! Part 2.

Fast forward 5 years.

You're now killing any Shades that manage to infiltrate the Village and the surrounding areas while trying to locate Yonah. Since the Shadowlord took her, your best bet would be to locate him. Problem is, you have no idea where to go. Shades are now much smarter, wearing armour and using actual tactics to take you down. Depending on the version, you either get a mask or a new outfit for the timeskip.

--> Grimoire Weiss: My good man, we are hardly in the business of punting fluffy animals to death.
Yeah, I just got this little quest. You can repeat it as many times as you want and you get 100G for each sheep you punt. A little mean, and it's also a rather slow way to earn money once you've gotten the White Moonflower/Lunar Tear to plant and manipulate.

TBC'd. Posting it for now though. Need to get a few things done first.

So I don't have the book yet...

Waiting for funds to transfer to my account first, but some people have started translating Grimoire NieR. Which is good, since now I can stop making up theories that are completely wrong~

Anyways, in a previous post, I thought that the "13 pacts" referred to DOD. Well, I don't think I'm completely wrong in that aspect since there were pacts in DOD. Not to mention that going for Ending E, everything turns monochrome and the entry mentioned "Black, and White.". Pretty easy for someone who didn't have the book and had prior DOD knowledge to think that. Turns out that the 13 pacts referred to the process where the Grimoires were created. Exactly that number, and you encounter 3 of them in-game. Rubrum, Weiss and Noir. Latin, German and French. Hm. ... I think it's Latin since it looks similar to Rubedo, probably from the same base. Not an expert in languages (in fact, I suck at them save for English).

Anyways, the translations are on-going on the PS3 NIER boards. The other ones are dead compared to that one.

Other things that finally came up from the book. The White Chlorination Syndrome (WCS) appeared when the "Giant" (Queen Grotesquery) and the "Red Dragon" (Angel/Angelus) appeared. They did see Caim, but didn't really care about it. They couldn't figure out what the giant and dragon were made of. The WCS causes people to go berserk if they don't outright die from it. Eventually, they turn into the Legion, made of SALT. The Red Eye is the "leader" of Legion and has a sense of self and can direct them to attack. So I wasn't completely wrong when I thought that Red Eye and Legion were the same thing...

And on the topic of the Black Scrawl. It appears on Replicants whose originals/Gestalts were already corrupted. Yonah was an unsuccessful case of the Gestalt process, so she was considered corrupted and all of her Replicants would have the Black Scrawl no matter what. Nier was a successful case, becoming the Original Gestalt. This is because the Replicant body is created from the data of the Gestalt. If the Gestalt process was unsuccessful, then the Replicant would also be corrupted, resulting in the Black Scrawl manifesting.

Hm. That's all I'll do for now. I wonder when everything will be translated and ready for proofreading? Will they even need a proofreader? Well, a user said that they'd love more volunteers, so...
